AK Tan

Group Executive Chairman

The visionary leader behind Elken and its group of companies, AK Tan is no stranger to transforming his vision into successful business ventures across the globe. In the past two decades, his entrepreneurial nature has brought him around the world sourcing for the best materials, ingredients, technology, and services – while forming long-lasting & lucrative joint ventures with successful business partners along the way. He actively contributes to Elken group’s day-to-day management of the business and strategy implementations with his expertise and ingenuity, and continues to drive innovation within the company towards bigger growth and ventures.

Falko Leonhardt

Chief Executive Officer

Falko Leonhardt has a career of nearly three decades in orchestrating change and transformation for organisations that spans across multiple regions. He brings along with him leadership experiences that transcend organisational functions, both with large and virtual teams, across private sector and government-linked corporations. Regional roles have seen Falko advise boards and C-Suite in transformative projects, troubleshooting to facilitate growth and change for organisations and their people, and delve deeper through to grassroots teams to map out effective strategy for transformations. Falko has spent much of his career in multinationals with roles that span across marketing, strategy and human resources. He is also a coach and facilitates senior leaderships for competitiveness, agility and service excellence.

Jang Yong-Chae

President, Manufacturing Facility

Jang Yong-Chae was a former Chief Engineer of the world’s largest water purification equipment company who brings over 20 years of experience in water purification equipment design. As one of the most prominent water quality experts in Korea, he has designed more than 20 models of water purifiers and 100 types of water-related components. He continues to share his expertise and innovative designs with Elken for the betterment of lives.

Dr. Koh Chong Lek

Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Koh Chong Lek has over 50 years of experience in teaching and researching genetics, molecular biology, and biotechnology at universities in Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Europe and USA. He was formerly the Professor of Genetics and Molecular Biology at UM and the former Head of the DNA Centre @ NIE, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technology University at Singapore. Dr. Koh is recognised by the Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the Imperial College of Science & Technology, University of London, England, and MSc and BSc in Genetics from the University of Malaya. He is also the first scientist to provide DNA typing service for human identification and parentage testing in Malaysia, and has used DNA typing to confirm the identities of several victims of the Highland Towers collapse in 1993 and MAS Fokker 50 plane crash in Tawau in 1995. He was awarded the MSMBB Distinguished Scientist Award by the Malaysian Society for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology recently.

Pang Min Fah

Senior Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific

Ms Pang leads the Elken Global business in Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia and Dubai. Her responsibilities include setting business direction and strategy, overseeing business operations and leading network strategies for the countries. Ms. Pang has over 18 years of experience in the direct selling industry and when she was Vice President of Sales, she contributed to Elken Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei’s highest sales achievement in 20 years. She has an MBA from University of Bath, UK and a Bachelor of Arts from University Malaya, Malaysia.

Fiona

DSAM Honorary Secretary & Legal & Government Affairs Committee

Ms Fiona Khoo leads the Group Legal and Secretarial Department and is responsible for the corporate legal affairs of the Group. She oversees the delivery of corporate legal services to support business growth through competitive strategies and priorities, as well as providing multi-jurisdictional corporate commercial advisory and managing the Group’s Intellectual Property portfolio across the Group’s business sectors in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia and others. In addition, she is also responsible for overseeing the overall corporate secretarial and corporate governance functions of the Group. Her responsibilities include advisory to the boards of directors on their roles and responsibilities, including the Group’s multi-jurisdictional statutory compliances and regulatory requirements. Ms. Fiona Khoo has over 20 years of experience as corporate legal counsel and she is currently serving as the Honorary Secretary of the Direct Selling Association of Malaysia (DSAM) Board and DSAM’s Legal and Government Affairs Committee.

Tai

Head, Group Accounts & Finance

Tai Hock Seng has over 20 solid years of experience in international trades, finance, tax and operations. He is a chartered accountant with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from Curtin University of Technology and is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and CPA Australia. He has been a part of Elken since 1998 and has held a few key management positions for the company overseas before transferring back to the Head Office. He is currently the Group’s Financial Controller and has taken this role since 2017.
