Community Involvement

International & Local Disaster Aid
In 1999, ELKEN initiated a fund raising campaign for the Nanyang JE Humanitarian Fund to assist farmers who faced financial ruin and loss of livelihood during the JE outbreak.

In 2007, ELKEN set up collection centres nationwide for food and necessities for flood victims in Malaysia and rallied its large membership base to donate as well as sponsor boxes of cookies and coffee with every RM10 contribution at over 100 outlets nationwide.

Saving Live
ELKEN has a special commitment to champion the cause of blood donation as part of its 'sharing and caring’ community service. ELKEN holds numerous records in The Malaysia Book of Records as the largest Blood Donation Drive in a Day By a Single Organisation.

Campaign of Love
Since 2005, ELKEN has spread the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival by giving away boxes of mooncakes annually. To date, over 6,000 boxes of mooncakes have presented to old folks homes, orphanages, charitable organisations and underprivileged students from schools nationwide.

Empowering the Less Fortunate
Dedicated to leaving a lasting legacy of love, trust, compassion and a heart for community, ELKEN FOUNDATION was set up in 2007 with the vision of alleviating poverty and suffering, fostering self-reliance and empowerment of the disadvantaged and underprivileged through education and training for the betterment of lives in the community. Since its inception, the foundation has collaborated with PJ Live Arts, schools and non-governmental organizations like Living Hope to enable the underprivileged to enjoy talks on nutrition, fun school holiday programmes, visits to exhibitions and healthy treats.
